TINY Kitchen Kids: Valentine's Day Peanut Butter Fudge

Looking for a Valentine's Day gift idea for all of the amazing teachers out there? Let's make some delicious TINY Kitchen Peanut Butter Fudge! This recipe is simple and fun to make. Your Junior chefs will be so proud of their work when they surprise their teachers with this token of appreciation.

We recommend making a batch together as a family this weekend and talking about how grateful we are for everything our teachers do for us. Suggest your kiddo writes a special note to accompany their gift, expressing their thanks to their teacher.

A single batch makes about 24 pieces of fudge, so you can divide it up for multiple teachers, or save some for yourselves. :)

NOTE: If your favorite teacher or someone in your class has a nut sensitivity, see our special TINY Kitchen Traditional Fudge recipe below.

Enjoy and Happy Valentine's Day!

INGREDIENTS

1/2 cup milk

1 tsp vanilla extract

1/2 cup butter

3/4 cup peanut butter

2 1/2 cup brown sugar

3 1/2 cups confectioners' sugar

DIRECTIONS

  • Prep an 8x8 glass dish by lining it with a sheet of foil, carefully pressing the foil up the sides of the dish making sure you've got enough foil that it extends beyond the edges of the dish

  • Next, melt your butter over low-medium heat in a medium size pot

  • Slowly stir your milk into the butter

  • Add brown sugar and stir over heat to combine

  • Bring to a boil and allow it to boil for 3 minutes, stirring constantly

  • Remove pot from heat and place on a safe work surface

  • Add peanut butter to the pot

  • Add vanilla, stir together to combine

  • In a large mixing bowl, place your confectioner's sugar

  • Next, pour the gooey peanut butter mixture over the confectioners' sugar

  • Using a hand mixer, beat until smooth

  • Pour the fudge mixture into your foil-lined dish

  • Place in fridge for at least 1-2 hours

  • Once chilled, the fudge should be nice and firm

  • Grabbing corners of foil, lift the fudge from your dish (foil will still be attached)

  • Place fudge on a large cutting board, with the foil-covered bottom on top facing you

  • Carefully peel the foil off your fudge and discard

  • Using a kid-safe knife, carefully cut into pieces

  • OR: use a heart-shaped cookie cutter to customize your fudge for Valentine's Day!
